| Priority
Listings Ranking FAQ for ExactSeek.com
The final ranking of your Priority Listing
depends on the following factors:
1. The number of "search points" your site generates.
2. The keywords that you use in your submitted URL's META
tags.
3. The number of other sites that compete under the same
search phrase.
4. The amount of time your priority listing has been active.
1. A site's ranking is primarily dependent on the number
of "search points" it accumulates. A site receives
1 search point for every 20 searches delivered per day.
The more search points you generate the higher your ranking.
If you do not deliver at least 20 searches per day your
search points will decrease.
2. You must have Title, Meta Description
and Meta Keyword tags on the page that you submit for
your Priority Listing or your listing will not be activated.
Choose your Title and Meta tags carefully because they
determine under which search phrases your site will appear.
If you want your site to appear when someone searches
for 'Cool Widgets' make sure that phrase is in your Meta
tags.
3. Your site will also be competing with
other priority listings, especially under popular search
phrases. All the sites that would appear under a certain
search phrase will be ranked according to the number of
"search points" and the sites that have the
highest ranking will be displayed first.
4. As a site's search point total accumulates,
it's ranking within the priority database rises. Consequently,
sites that sign up earlier have an advantage over sites
that generate the same number of search points but sign
up later, since search point totals are in part determined
by the length of time a site participates in the Priority
Ranking program.
