When you hear Matt Cutts from Google talking about writing better quality content, he is not offering deep hidden meaning in his advice.

There are EXCELLENT reasons to write higher quality content that will read well to your visitors. Best advice is to create content that is useful, reads well and that serves some legitimate purpose. Don't stuff keywords in comment tags. Use comment tags in the manner in which the tag was designed to be used -- to place comments about
the page itself. Don't put keywords in comment tags at all.

Who is your 'target audience'? When you write your Web site content, who are you focusing it on?

Have the search engines ever purchased anything from you? Forget the search engines! Focus on your customers! When you write content, write valuable content focused on your customers.

Focus on one topic (keyword phrase) per page only.

Your keyword-containing tags should include that one topic (keyword phrase) only. Everything on the page should be focused on that one topic. Prove to the search engine that your page is about that topic. The page will then be very relevant for the topic. But
it be valuable for the customers. Remember to use supporting words, synonyms, and surrounding text when linking between pages.

Avoid building up link reputation that looks "unnatural" or "contrived."

If you're a writer, swap up your bio as well. After all, don't you want to be found under a variety of different keyword phrases that are important to your business?

Don't ever create a page just for the search engines.

The search engines are not (and probably won't ever be) your customers. Keep your true customers in mind, and give THEM true value throughout your site and in your content. When you are thinking about what type of content to write for new
promotional strategies, always remember that the traffic is not the
whole solution.

You must also convert your visitors to buyers. Always watch for ways to work with "emotional content"  since most people make their "buying decisions" when they are in an emotional state.

Your promotions need to make the visitor FEEL good. Consider at times where the use of humour might be incorporated or perhaps the warm fuzzy feelings produced by the tone of your writing. This is a secret that traditional advertisers have been using for years successfully.

Tips for writing Meta Tags on web pages

Include your most important keyword phrase in both your title and description tags ONE time. Your title tag should be around 8-10 words long, or shorter (Maximum of 75 characters, including spaces).

Your description tag should be no more than a maximum of 150 characters, including spaces. Don't capitalize the first letter of every word in the title or description, unless they're proper nouns. The title and description should be very easy to read and just roll off your tongue.

Your title and description should be considered an "ad campaign" for your Web site, because that's just what they are.

Your page may be only be #4 in the rankings, but if you've taken time to create a captivating title and description tag, you may have just as many click throughs as the #1 or #2 spots who haven't done their homework.
